The 19-year-old Rupert played for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League this season, putting up 21 goals, 52 assists, 54 penalty minutes and a plus-36 rating in 68 regular-season games. In 10 playoff games thus far with the Knights, the five-foot-nine, 190-pound centre has three goals, seven assists and 10 penalty minutes. Over his four-season OHL career with London he has 194 points (58 goals, 136 assists) with 279 penalty minutes in 224 games.
